About BetaSpotter

The marketplace for
serious beta testers

BetaSpotter connects early adopters who give real feedback with founders who need it before launch day.

Our Mission

Better betas. Better products.

Most products launch broken because founders get feedback too late or from people who are too polite to be honest. BetaSpotter exists to fix the early feedback loop — structured, incentivised, genuine feedback from people who actually use the product.

For Spotters

Early Adopters
1

Browse & discover

Explore active betas across categories — SaaS tools, mobile apps, developer tools, consumer products and more. Filter by type (Open, Waitlist, Invite Only), sort by newest or most popular.

2

Apply to test

Found something interesting? Apply with a short message explaining why you're a good fit. Founders review applications and approve testers based on their expertise and interests.

3

Get access & test

Once approved, you'll receive an email with access instructions. Use the product seriously — explore it like a real user would.

4

Submit structured feedback

BetaSpotter's feedback form guides you through seven dimensions: what worked, what didn't, whether you'd pay for it, who it's best suited for, a bug report, feature request, and an overall rating. No vague 'looks good!' allowed.

5

Build your reputation

Great Spotters get approved faster. Your profile shows your expertise areas, interests, and history — founders use it to decide who gets access.

For Founders

Makers
1

Submit your beta

List your product in under 3 minutes. Add a name, tagline, description, category, beta type (open / waitlist / invite only), and what kind of testers you're looking for.

2

Set tester criteria

Describe your ideal tester — their role, technical level, or use case. This helps the right Spotters self-select and means less reviewing irrelevant applications.

3

Review applications

Browse Spotter profiles and approve the testers who match. You can see their expertise, interests, and BetaSpotter track record. Reject with a note or ignore — Spotters are notified either way.

4

Collect structured feedback

Every approved Spotter submits the same 7-field feedback form. Aggregate data in your dashboard shows average rating, willingness to pay percentage, and full written responses.

5

Ship with confidence

Mark your product as Shipped when you launch publicly. It moves to the Shipped hall of fame, and your Spotters get a launch notification.

What We Stand For

Our values

🎯

Honest feedback only

We design our forms to discourage vague positivity. Structured fields, ratings, and specific prompts surface real signal.

🔒

Founder privacy

Beta details stay between founders and approved testers. We don't index or expose unreleased products publicly.

Speed matters

Founders are moving fast. Our review and approval workflow is designed to get testers using products within 24 hours.

🌱

Quality over quantity

A hundred vague testers are worse than five great ones. We help founders find the right match, not just the most.
